Richard Heaton BA(Hons) Chartered FCIPD UKRM Registered Mediator

Biography 

Richard has worked within HR for 20 years currently working within the Further Education sector as an HR Manager and previously with the Police and other local authority organisations in similar HR roles. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

 
Conflict management, problem solving and change management has always been a key aspect of the roles he has undertaken but since being trained as a Mediator he has built up a specialist knowledge and expertise in that area working on many complex cases.
 
In addition Richard has introduced from scratch Mediation within the Further Education sector establishing an In-house Mediation Service within a large multi-site organisation and leading a pool of trained Mediators.
 
During his career within HR Richard has led many projects such as the implementation of IIP, complex restructuring, TUPE transfers, trade union negotiation, discipline and grievance resolution and policy development.
 
Richard is passionate about solving problems through Mediation and the positive impact repairing relationships can have for individuals and the organisation alike.

BA (Hons) Business Studies
City and Guilds 7307 (Adult Education Teacher Training)
British Psychological Society – Occupational Testing levels A & B
Mediation Practitioners Certificate
The Mediation Practitioner – Working as a Mediator Certificate
