Experience:

I have been involved in acting and performance for much of my working life, with featured roles in TV: Emmerdale, Brookside, Open all Hours, BBC Drama productions, also appearing in many corporate videos/training films, TV commercials and Radio voiceovers. I have also worked in Theatre in Education, Community Theatre, Fringe Theatre, as a Performance artist and have run my own Theatre Company. I have worked for the Nationwide Building Society as a role play actress.

I am an Associate Lecturer (part time) in Film and Media/Performance at Manchester Metropolitan University. I also lectured for many years in Drama, Communications and Media Studies in Further, Higher and Adult Education. I have directed Drama and Film productions and worked as a Creative Practitioner on a freelance basis for public sector arts organisations for many years.

Acting skills:

I have skills in improvisation and in working to scripts and can portray complex and different emotions at will. I am experienced in character building and have a good knowledge of both business and real-life situations. I enjoy working with comedy.

Coaching skills:

I have worked as a study coach for University students with Spld for many years and have participated in coaching training courses involving role play. In this role I coach students to achieve their personal best results, nurturing them to focus and manage their studies and helping with communication skills. The role also involves using counselling skills.

Video production and Photography:

I have skills in filming/editing and photography and have documented and produced many short video and photographic pieces for Arts organisations, Museums and Art Galleries, Theatre Companies, Events and Bands.
