Catherine Lake B.A.(Hons) P.G Dip

Biography

Catherine is a highly experienced and motivated trainer and therapist with over 16 years experience of using therapeutic intervention. She has worked nationally and internationally for a number of client groups including N.H.S, not for profit organisations, charitable and voluntary sector and education.

Catherine has considerable experience in delivering training and therapeutic intervention on a 1:1 and group bases. The therapeutic interventions Catherine uses include counselling, cognitive behavioural strategies, role-play, forum theatre, group discussion, awareness raising and self reflective exercises and team building tasks. Catherine specialises in crisis/conflict prevention, intervention and resolution, debriefing, workplace therapy, and workplace dynamics awareness raising, exploration and management. Catherine is also experienced in presenting and facilitating group-work at conferences.

Catherine’s previous clients include Magyar/British International School Budapest, Solidarnosc Warsaw, Fife Health Authority, Queen Margaret’s University Edinburgh and Salford University Manchester.

Catherine is committed to using therapeutic tools to equip employers and employees with the skills to self reflect and to become self aware, empowering each individual to understand and achieve a productive and healthy team dynamic, to acquire skills to communicate effectively within their team and to promote their own unique abilities and potential as part of their team.
